How to collect your download
-
Buy the clothing item on Roblox
Each product is sold as a Roblox clothing item. The Discord panel for the product links straight to the right one. Buying it with Robux is the purchase.
-
Press I bought it in Discord
Every product has a panel in the Ripper's Games Discord server with that button on it. This is where redemption happens.
-
Approve the Roblox sign-in
Roblox asks whether you allow the check. Approve it, and your download arrives by direct message along with the owner role for that product.
Redemption happens in Discord, not on this page. There is nothing to sign in to here.
What the Roblox sign-in is for
Two things have to be true before a download is issued: the Roblox account asking is really yours, and it owns the item being redeemed. Roblox answers both, through its own sign-in page, so we never have to ask you for anything private.
Two permissions are requested, and nothing beyond them:
| Permission | Why it is needed |
|---|---|
Your account identity (openid, profile) |
So the download is issued to the right Roblox account, and one person cannot claim another person's purchase. |
Read your inventory (user.inventory-item:read) |
To ask Roblox one question: does this account own the specific item being redeemed? It is used for that single lookup and nothing else. |
The permission is handed straight back to Roblox as soon as the check finishes, so nothing keeps working in the background. You can also withdraw it yourself at any time under Account Settings, then Security, then Authorized Apps on Roblox. Nothing about your inventory is stored: the ownership answer is used in the moment and then discarded. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
What it cannot do
This is a tool for collecting something you already bought. It is not a creator tool and holds no creator access.
- It never receives your Roblox password, login cookie, or session.
- It cannot act as you, buy anything, or spend Robux.
- It cannot create, edit, publish, or manage anything on your account: no experiences, places, assets, groups, or data stores.
- It cannot see your email address, Robux balance, friends, or messages.
- It reads one thing, once: whether you own the item you are redeeming.
Why not just ask for a username
It used to. The old method made you type your Roblox username, paste a one-time code into your profile, wear the item on your avatar, and then undo both. Signing in with Roblox replaces all of that, and it also works if your inventory is set to private, which the old check could not handle.
If something goes wrong
Nothing is consumed by a failed attempt. If the sign-in is declined, expires, or Roblox cannot answer, your purchase is untouched and you can start again from the same button. A download can be recovered too: redeeming again from the same account returns the original download rather than refusing you.
If you are stuck after paying, post in the help channel in the Discord server, or email [email protected]. Roblox gives sellers no refund button, so ask before buying if you are unsure which product you need.
